NEWS 27-06-02 Shipyard Yantar has built the largest vessel in the history of main transport way of Europe - river Rhine.  Shipbuilders of shipyard Yantar have launched river-sea class vessel built by order of Dutch company "Dutch shipbuilding service". This is the ninth vessel built for mentioned company. Chemical tanker designed according to latest requirements and assigned for transportation of coal oils. The vessel will be owned by British Petroleum concern. Length of the vessel is 135 meters, breadth – 17,2 meters. Special pier for loading and unloading of this vessel have been building In Dormagen near Regensburg at the bound between West and East Germany. Cost of the pier is several million Euros. Tanker with length of 135 meters is the largest vessel built by Kaliningrad shipbuilders during last three years. The tanker is assigned for transportation of different types of chemical agents. Yantar have installed on the vessel equipment as follows: main engine, thruster unit, piping systems and other equipment.  << Back to news list |
