		NEWS 07-08-02 On the 7th of August shipyard Yantar launched an arctic trawler "Markus" build according to design from Rolls-Royce Marine AS, Nordvestconsult by order of Norwegian company Umoe Sterkoder AS. On the 7th of August shipyard Yantar launched an arctic trawler "Markus" build according to design from Rolls-Royce Marine AS, Nordvestconsult by order of Norwegian company Umoe Sterkoder AS. Dimensions of the vessel are: 70,5/62,80х 15,90х 6,75m, gross tonnage 3320 t, power of main engine 5800 KWt, crew 31 persons, class: DnV +1A1 Ice 1A* E0 Stern Trawler. The vessel is intended for catching and processing of shrimps in ice covered areas in North Atlantic. Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federation Mr. Sergey Mironov who had a visit to Kaliningrad region during that time took part in launching ceremony. It is the second trawler of this project built by Yantar. The first vessel of the series m/v "Mersey Phoenix" was delivered on the 5th of March during visit of Prime Minister of Russian Federation Mr. Mikhail Kasjanov to Kaliningrad Region. Prime Minister took part in launching ceremony. Totally Yantar have built 4 vessels by orders of mentioned company (3 trawlers and one multipurpose dry cargo vessel). << Back to news list
